Now it can be real people, yes they can create superheroes or villains based on people they know personally or some famous people that they admire. The characters can also be based on some fictional characters, but sometimes it’s pretty obvious that these characters are obvious rip-offs of the other comic book characters that are already in existence. DC and Marvel may be arch rivals, but this rivalry didn’t stop them from taking inspiration from each others’ characters and create their own new characters.

Take Marvel Cinematic Universe for instance, after the success of the films; DC Comics also came with their DC Extended Universe. Though, it has not performed at the similar level. But, we are here to talk about Marvel and DC both stealing characters from each other.
In some cases, Marvel and DC went to an extent that you can clearly say they stole characters from each other. Now whether it’s the character’s appearance, the character’s name, the character’s powers, abilities, or even its general concept. Constantly coming up with constantly cool comic characters definitely use that line because of how awesome alliteration is, it’s a very tiring process. And sometimes the well of ideas run dry and so maybe these characters are a little bit similar by coincidence, but it may be that Marvel pulls a little inspiration from the incredibly successful DC. As they say imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery. But DC is also not innocent of sneaking ideas from their competitor.
It is a known fact that many DC and Marvel characters were actually copied, they were rip-offs. Today we will be talking about the superheroes that are actually stolen by DC and Marvel.
